To replace the existing dilapidated jetties with new structures, of a slightly different design, to more closely match the varying requirements of the committee.
Two 65m angled jetties with custom made bump fenders.
Due to the unique nature of the sailing club there were various requirements to accommodate the many boats used at the club. The deep water of Budworth Mere proved challenging during the installation process as the team were required to get into the water. As such, the installation had to be phased and full emersion dry suits were needed whilst the team were in the cold temperatures. There were several underwater obstacles from the previous jetty such as pieces of metal and old timber posts which had to be carefully navigated.
