To provide a jetty which could be used at varying water levels in a tidal site.
A ‘stepped’ jetty so that different parts could be used at different tidal heights. Using materials capable of withstanding weather and tidal forces, including concrete fixed legs.
This project presented several challenges due to the tidal nature of the site as all installation work had to be carried out within specific timeframes to coincide with low tide. The build also had to fit within the boundaries of the neighbouring space, resulting in the jetty being created at an angle at the end to stay within the allowed area.
