Brief
To build an above ground platform which was then to become a sailing club jetty when the reservoir re-filled for Earlswood Sailing Club.
Solution
A bespoke 55m long jetty was built and installed at a set height above the expected water level which required it to be laser level.
Challenges
The main challenge for this project was the ground which was to become the reservoir bed. It was a mixture of rock hard to soggy, presenting problems mainting a level structure. We overcame this challenge with a combination of large feet on the legs which were rammed down as far as they would go into the softer areas and smaller feet with the legs sticking through them were placed down until the feet hit a solid surface in the harder areas.
