Brief

To fabricate, deliver and install a two-sectioned hinged ramp and pontoon in a tidal location near Lisbon, Portugal.  

Solution

In depth planning and the organisation of reliable freight for shipping the items to Portugal.  Very careful attention to the design and fabrication was essential with this project given that all the components were to be fabricated from descriptions and measurements provided by the client.  

Challenges

The main challenge for this project was the overseas location as a site visit wasn't possible and all the items had to be reliably shipped to Portugal in time for the arranged installation.  Therefore all the components had to be fabricated based on descriptions and measurements provided by the client and we had to ensure that we took every piece of equipment we could possibly need for the installation as well as ensuring that all the items were successfully shipped.
